SCREAM Halloween Short Film Festival and Competition and TAP
Gallery would like to thank all the filmmakers and sponsors for
all their enthusiasm towards this inaugural event. We were overwhelmed
by the response, and we played host to a full-capacity crowd at the screening
on Thursday 31 October, 2002.
We
would like to congratulate Tonnette Stanford who won
the People's Choice Award for her spooky winning entry,
INSPIRIT. She gratefully received $500 worth
of facilities hire from METRO SCREEN, a subscription to IF MAGAZINE, a
voucher for some very yummy SERENDIPITY ice cream, and double passes to
the DENDY CINEMAS, as well as season passes to POLLOCK, and the Silk Screen
movies, courtesy of COLUMBIA TRI STAR.
The 2nd prize went to Daniel Giambruno
for his well crafted short, TWITCH. He received a collection
of Horror Classics, double passes to DENDY CINEMAS, as well as season
passes to POLLOCK, and the Silk Screen movies.
And the Best Dressed prize went to Phil
Frea, who won Halloween chocolates, and double-passes to the
movies.
A big thank you goes to all the other filmmakers who made such an
effort. We are quite touched, and amazed, at the amount of entries in
such a small amount of time!!!
And another big thank you goes to the sponsors, who also amazed us with
their enthusiasm in such a small amount of time. As well as the guys on
the right, we must also thank ARCHERS Aqua Schnapps and BECK'S Real Bier
for all their yummy drinks that went down very easily during the afterparty.
Mmmmmmm, peach Archers aqua schnapps!!
And finally, a huge thank you for our lovely host, Cathy Flower.
